Mental Health Basics

Everyone has significant goals for our world - but we can’t do much work if we’re not feeling our best. S.T.E.W. recognizes that the mental and physical health of everyone is critical when trying to achieve a goal. Here are a few tips to help you stay in tip-top shape so you can easily reach your goal!


  • Get Active

Physical activities can improve one's feelings leading to an increase in productivity. They can also help one collect their thoughts, which can enhance one's state of mind and relax one from the day’s problems. Think about strolling, running, cleaning, or any other physical activities that you enjoy!

  • Eat a Healthy Diet

Establishing meal guidelines consisting of healthy foods can make one feel better while working! Try to include a variety of vegetables, fruits, and grains.

  • Avoid Unhealthy Habits

When you’re feeling stressed, never turn to harmful or illegal activity, such as smoking, doing drugs, or over-eating. These can harm and impact your health in extreme ways. There are other healthy coping methods, such as yoga, which one can use to remove stress.

  • Meditate

By meditating, one can quickly clear their mind, which can help one feel calmer. This will help balance ones being and will also help increase workflow. For more information on meditation, feel free to use the following sites: mindful.org & headspace.com

  • Get Enough Sleep

Making sure that you are getting an adequate amount of sleep is extremely important. Resting increases your energy levels, mood, and productivity, allowing you to do more in just one day than if you were to pull an all-nighter.


Keep these tips in mind as you go about your day, and remember that it’s okay to take a break when you’re feeling stressed out. Your work can wait as you come first. We wish you luck in your endeavors through these tough times.
